Welcome to CEADI Science!
CEADI Science is a free online course designed to bring the values of good scientific practice together with key themes of ecology.
Designed to suit teachers in a classroom as well as individuals at home, CEADI Science is an interactive online course with plenty of hands-on activities for students from age 7 - 18 (and older!).

CEADI Level 1
Level 1 introduces the values and themes at a basic level with a big emphasis on fun and investigation, perfect for primary school students.
CEADI Level 2
Level 2 is ideal for people at secondary school, or those with a basic science understanding that want to develop their knowledge.
CEADI Level 3
Level 3 explores the values and themes at a deeper, more academic level, aimed at scientists age 17+ as a bridge to possible higher education.

How we do science matters more.
In school, we're taught that science is about knowledge. In reality, science is shaped by ethical and social values, but these are rarely included in the science curriculum.
We've designed CEADI Science with three levels, but the values and the themes are the same across all of the levels. If you're not sure, you can always sign up to more than one and pick your favourite bits!
Hi, we're Beth and Rachel!
Back in 2020, we started Breakdown Education to share our advice and explanations about how to survive postgrad study in a pandemic.
Since then, we've set our sights higher! CEADI Science is our first online course, generously funded by BES. We can't wait to get going and share what we've been working on.
